Star Wars Suite

Melody is an important part in this piece because there’s only certain parts where one instrument needs to be heard. All noises must produce at a certain volume to succeed the movie part. The french horn I especially like because aside from the trumpet, the French horn is my second favorite instrument.The music makes me think of a Star Wars scene that is peaceful and mysterious. I don’t see any villains in this scene or any big action happening.The second piece makes me feel a strong and powerful emotion. I sense Darth Vadar in the scene as he is upcoming from stairs or some sort of opening. Listening to these two excerpts help me relate because they are in fact more modern and I have more interest and liking in movie music than other music. I still do appreciate Hildegard’s music, I just don’t find it as relatable. Music is much more amusing and likable to me if it is familiar; But that doesn’t mean I can’t come around on some classical music! I think all music is good as long as it is well played and timed well. Volume is also one thing I can be picky about and this piece is awesome!
